Experience the awe of color, shape and texture blended with nature on a public tour of the Alden B. Dow Home and Studio.
Note: The Home & Studio is an educational structure. There is a possibility that a program may be running simultaneously with tour times and students will be in the building.
Policies & Procedures
- The length of tour is approximately 1-1.5 hours.
- Parking: Tour parking is behind the Post Street School.
- The individual who made the reservation is asked to review the Alden B. Dow Home & Studio Policies and Procedures with all the guests in their party.
- We provide a closet for coats, and a secure drawer for purses, backpacks and other personal belongings that are not allowed to travel through the Home and Studio. Please utilize pockets to carry personal items and cash or credit cards for gift shop purchases.
- No food, drinks, or gum allowed.
- We ask that guests arrive no more than 15 minutes before the start time of their tour.
- Children must be 8 years old to attend the tour. No exceptions.
- Student Age pricing is 8 years to traditional college age of 23 years old. For college students, a valid College ID is required at check-in.
- Guests may take their phones on tour but there are NO PHOTOS, videos, or recording of any kind on the interior of the building or objects in the building. This includes the screened-in porch. We ask guests to please silence their phones and keep them in their pockets while inside the building. Photos are allowed outside the building during the tour and in front of the building before and after the tour.
- As a National Historic Landmark, the Alden B. Dow Home and Studio is not required to follow ADA guidelines. It is not wheelchair accessible.

- Certified Service Animals are welcome. Pets are not allowed.
- 24-hour cancellation notice required for full refund or rebooking.
